If this BMI is more than 30 is considered as overweight but the health problems with the overweight starts from the BMI more than 21.

Some of the major reasons for this obesity are:

    • Diabetes is the also one of the health issue that rise due to obesity and makes us very difficult to treat.
    • Paralysis also occurs as the fat contents or the cholesterol blocks the blood vessels in the brain.
    • Knee pains occur as the body gets over weighted and burden on the knees and legs increases.
    • This makes us addicted to eat more and more food and titillates us to eat which is the main reason for failure to control the overweight.

    How this can be reduced?

    • Following some of the individual self control we can reduce the overweight.
    • Take good diet with more proteins, vitamins and fewer fats.
    • Limit the number of times that we take food.
    • Take light food as much as possible before going to sleep.
    • Don’t sleep immediately after taking the food. Do some work before you sleep and after you eat.
    • Limit the intake o of sugars.
    • Daily do the exercises or any work for physical movement of the body.
    • Take more fruits and raw vegetables than general food.

  • What are the benefits of water to health?
    By Health Blog on August 19, 2010 | 2 Comments2 Comments Comments

Everybody think that we can heal medicines only with the medicines but not always. Diseases can also be treated through providing mental relief and in many other ways. Many people don’t know that water is one of the major medicine to your and occupies 70% of our body. There are many diseases those can be treated through water without the use of any kind of medicines. If adequate amount of water which is clean was made available and the people used it appropriately, the amount of sickness and death could probably be cut to half.

Correct usage of the water is the basic prevention and treatment for diarrhea. In many areas, diarrhea is the most of the common cause of sickness and death in small children. Contaminated water is the major reason for all diseases. An important part of the prevention of this disease and many other diseases is to make sure that the water we drink is safe and clean. We need to store the water in a cleaned container as well as we have to change the water daily and we should not drink the stored water. It is always suggestible to boil the water before drinking. If this is not possible then store the water in a clean container and cover with some plate on top of that container. Keep this container under the sunlight so that no other bacteria will pass through that container.

The common cause of deaths in children is due to dehydration or loss of too much water from the body. By giving a child with plenty of water possibly with salt or lemon or sugar will prevent the possible dehydration and also brings the child suffering from dehydration to a better state very quickly.

Giving the more water is the great treatment than any other medicines for dehydration. Drinking more water also keeps the body in a balanced condition and makes sure the proper functioning of our body parts. Water also reduces the tension makes us more resistant from diseases. So try to drink water as much as possible.

  • How to increase your creativity?
By Health Blog on April 25, 2010 | No Comments Comments

You want to be creative? Look inside yourself. You’re already creative. Believing that you are not sufficiently creative is simply the propaganda you’ve bought from the media, school, and from everybody who has tricked you into thinking you’re lacking unless both rich and famous.

In addition, thinking you’re not creative is just your convenient excuse so you that you feel exempt from the process of learning to love what you’ve got and who you are. When will the world get to see your stuff, your real gifts and talents? Stop the procrastination game and start generating some truly original and terrible ideas. Don’t worry – they’ll get better.

Commit yourself to making time and space to apply the following strategies to jump-start your creativity and if you won’t apply the brakes too soon, you’ll find that you really have a hell of a lot to say and do in whatever area turns you on.

    • Be curious and follow your curiosity.
    • Spend 20 minutes a day in a comfortable spot where you will be undisturbed and let your mind wander wherever it will.
    • Work to music, which inspires you. Classical music is usually recommended as the most effective. If you’re not a classical fan, stretch yourself and see if it works. If not, experiment to determine what type of music is most effective for you.
    • Think hard about your problem, then stop thinking about it, forgetting it for a while, or go to sleep after telling yourself that you will awaken with new ideas concerning your problem. Then wait for the Eureka!  Einstein had many of his great solutions come to him whilst in the shower.
    • Try to mentally reframe your problem so it doesn’t look like a problem. Rather, see your problem as the proverbial golden egg, unexpected wealth, just waiting for you.
    • Do something completely different – change your routine. Take a new way to or from work. Eat lunch in a new area. Listen to a new radio station. Watch a television show that’s not in your native language. Love gardening? Read a magazine about boxing.
    • Think about your problem in terms of your five senses. How does the problem taste, feel, smell, look, sound? Look to your reactions as openings that trigger new insights about your problem and its possible solution.
    • Work actively with the suggestions of your intuition. For many of us our intuition represents a muscle, which is rarely tested. Just like any other muscle, if you don’t use it you’ll lose it!
    • Carry a notebook or a mini tape recorder everywhere and capture ALL the ideas your subconscious feeds you.
    • If you want to be creative, start doing! Turn off the idiot box. Stop reading the newspaper and start doing. Forget about what the world thinks, what your mother and friends think.

  • What is the need of flexibility of mind?
By Health Blog on April 24, 2010 | No Comments Comments

When you are rigid in your thinking this state manifests itself physically in your movements and your behavior.  Learning to be flexible in life softens your body and allows you to flow more with life. The result of being more flexible in life is that you keep an open mind to things, and you become gentler with yourself and those in your surroundings.

To contemplate gentleness, imagine that you are holding a butterfly in your hand.  That is softening – holding something gently.   Today, explore what it’s like to hold yourself gently – to hold attitudes, expectations, and awareness about yourself softly.  Softness offers an immediate opportunity to relax into experience rather than fight against it.

Softening is a whole-body/being experience.  It involves a way of thinking, feeling, and physically relaxing that is quite profound, and the process itself, asks you to abandon the insistence that you always need to know what is going to happen or why things unfold as they do.

The next time you find yourself in a situation or state of mind that creates tension or a wish/need to control your current surroundings, explore what happens should you choose to become flexible with the situation.  If you relax your body/mind being into your experience, what changes?  Does your thinking shift, along with your body? When you soften your thinking, what thoughts disappear and what thoughts emerge?  How does your mood vary when you soften into what is?  Becoming flexible doesn’t mean giving up your intentions to achieve certain outcomes.  It just means, that you allow yourself to move with what appears on your way to the next steps in fulfilling your underlying intentions.

Are you angry or resentful toward someone close to you?  Notice what happens if you soften into those feelings and simply allow them to be there, without building on them or pushing them away.  Flexibility doesn’t mean you have to agree with the other person or the situation you don’t like.  It simply means that your internal experience shifts. That’s the benefit from this gift to you. Flexibility eases stress and distress.

  • Natural techniques for depression
By Health Blog on April 20, 2010 | No Comments Comments

Some people absolutely refuse to take prescriptions medications unless it’s a matter of life and death. Instead, they prefer to try a natural cure for depression. There are many natural treatments that people have tried in an attempt to deal with depression. Whether they work has not been scientifically documented in some cases, while others are known to be beneficial. A natural cure for depression is one that doesn’t rely on prescription medications as a solution. Instead, you may decide to try an herb or supplement or make dietary changes. Other natural cures involve learning relaxation techniques or massages to relieve stress. Whatever natural cure for depression you decide to use, it’s still important to keep your doctor informed. Depression is a serious illness and nothing to take lightly. Your doctor can help you monitor your progress while using natural treatment alternatives.

    natural treatment using herbs

    natural treatment using herbs

You have a choice for a natural cure for depression. Actually, most people use more than one method. One of the commonly used treatments is herbs and supplements. St. John’s wort is considered to work as a natural antidepressant in cases of mild depression. It’s an ancient perennial that’s been used for centuries in alternative medicine treatments. One thing to always keep in mind is that herbs can interact with prescription medicines. That’s a good reason why you should always make sure your doctor knows what you are taking as supplements.

Another natural cure for depression people try is taking vitamins and minerals. One of the symptoms of depression is a radical change in weight. When you aren’t getting proper nutrition, the problem only worsens. Also depression affects concentration and some vitamins and minerals are considered to be mental aids. These include vitamin B and folic acid.

Yet another natural cure for depression is changing dietary habits. Turkey, for example, has an amino acid which assists the production of serotonin. Other foods include milk and potatoes. You can also eat foods high in omega-3 fatty acids such as soybeans and fish. All of these foods can aid with the brain’s chemical production, insure you are getting proper nutrition and hopefully decrease depression.

There are lots of other natural treatments for depression that people have tired including nerve stimulation. But one of the most popular is learning relaxation techniques which also may include massages. One of the causes of depression is an overload of stress. Relaxation methods teach you how to take control of anxious thoughts and turn them around. People who are anxious and depressed often make their situation worse just because they don’t know how to calm themselves. There’s no proof this is true, but it certainly cannot hurt.
